#2 is a no go
Shay is pretty much potty trained on #1, but does anyone have advice for a kid who will not poop in the toilet? He was squinching his cheeks shut all morning and hadn't gone for 1 1/2 days so I gave him a pedia lax, and we barely got one in the toilet. Imagine a pregnant lady running through the house w/ a half naked 2 year old and throwing him on the toilet, the poop barely making it in. Funny huh. But then an hour later he pooped his undies. He hasn't ever gone in the toilet voluntarily yet. I would say, "oh maybe he's not ready for potty training", but he does good with #1, so I hate to quit. Any tips would be helpful. I would pay someone $100 to poop train him. I'll even provide room and board. Any takers?

I have a friend who had a boy with the same prob and she just sat him on the potty in the kitchen for 2 days while she fed him natural laxatives. By the end of 2 days she swears he was cured. Sounds funny to me, but she swears by it. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh, Annie! I feel your pain! I don't have any tips for you other than "this, too shall pass!..." and hopefully it passes in the toilet! I don't know how many times I had to srcub our carpet and Quincy's undies when I was poop training him. But, it's over, and he does poop in the toilet! Now, if I can only be brave enough to let him wipe himself!
