Dream Vacation

The kid's fave vacation destination; Gma Julie's and Gpa Bob's. They love following my dad around, and he has become very patient in his elder years. He is such a fun Gpa, here is an example. Garrett asks on a whim, "Gpa can we go fishin?" My dad thinks of all the ways we could make this work, but the river is high this time of year and the other kid friendly spots aren't open so it's not a great choice, but he deliberates on it anyway. He tries hard to please the grandkids, and boy do they love him. They also adore Gma Julie who spoils em and gives them lots of love.

Big Babies

These 2 have regressed a bit, but I love them still the same.

Virginia cousins

We were in I.F. at the same time as my Uncle Doug (my mom's bro) and Aunt Kris, who were bringing my cousins Eric and Katherine to BYU-I. It was fun to get re-aquainted w/ them, they live in McLean, VA which is near the U.S. Capitol. Garrett and Shay had a good time with cousin Eric; lots of shooting of foam bullets, and wii golf and bowling.

Aunt Lauren

Fun Aunt Lauren, makes my life easier by being a nice auntie.

Sleepy Lou

Lou, Lou, sleep to my Lou. Have to snap a pic when the kids sleep sometimes, it's the only time they're perfectly harmless and sweet.

Homedale Ho-Down

We had a get-away in March to visit Matt's sis Katie and her husband Andrew in their new house. It was fun to play with their cute children. Alyza and McKenzie are already cute friends. We also loved the gift Katie made Alyza, a felt doll dress up book to take to church. Homedale is a fun place to visit, and the farms are beautiful. The sheep pics are at Andrew's dad's house. We also got to go to Boise zoo, we had so much fun.

Happy BDay Dear Alyza

Alyza's BDay was Mar 21. She had a stomach bug that day so we had to be careful what she ate, but this little gal loved opening gifts. There were squeals of delight no matter what was inside. Gifts included a shopping cart, dolly w/ stroller, Tangled...and she got to go to Kiwi Loco w/ Becky, Lainee, Brianne & Shay and mom. It was a good day. A few facts about this 2 year old sweetheart.
She loves to go potty to get a smarty, tells me "Thank you mom!" in such a sincere way & quite often, loves to color with markers, loves to give Chloey a biscuit, teases her dad right back.

"Spring, Spring, Spring" as sung by 7 brides for 7 brothers

Anyday now, these buds are gonna burst. Love spring. This spring has been a little dusty, such a dry winter; but still the plants do not disappoint.

Prayer

This passage in the bible dictionary about prayer was particularly meaningful to me today. Happy Easter everyone!

"As soon as we learn the true relationship in which we stand toward God (namely, God is our Father, and we are his children), then at once prayer becomes natural and instinctive on our part (Matt. 7:7–11). Many of the so-called difficulties about prayer arise from forgetting this relationship. Prayer is the act by which the will of the Father and the will of the child are brought into correspondence with each other. The object of prayer is not to change the will of God, but to secure for ourselves and for others blessings that God is already willing to grant, but that are made conditional on our asking for them. Blessings require some work or effort on our part before we can obtain them. Prayer is a form of work, and is an appointed means for obtaining the highest of all blessings."
