Abrie Ruth

Abrie Ruth Bingham made her debut on Tuesday August 27 at 12:47 p.m. 6 lb 12 oz, 20 inches long. She was 9 days early, my water broke during the night.  The rest of my body wasn't ready to have her, so the Dr. started pitocin and started my labor.  Hard labor until the epidural and then easiest birth of all the children.  She is such a peaceful baby and a good sleeper already... hope no crazy changes in personality are in store here. I think her coloring makes her look like her daddy. You say her name Ay-brie, not Aubrie.  That seems to be confusing people a bit, understandably so!  There you have her! She's a beauty and a sweetheart and is adored by all.

First Day of School 8-26-13

Garrett has Mrs. Haugeberg (so nice! Very tender and sweet) and Shay has a.m. kinder with Mrs. Brown (also so nice! an older lady who's about retirement age).  Their first week's going well!

Minidoka County Fair Week

Blue ribbon sugar beets.  Alyza won the big blue, Shay got 2nd place with the white ribbon.

First rate art work!  Both boys entered 3 pictures and each one got a ribbon, and each boy won best in their class.  They also ribboned in the lego creations they entered.  I got a red ribbon for a picture of a dragonfly on a clothespin that I took.
Of note: the boys also participated in the kids rodeo in events that involved goat tails and ribbons.  That particular activity is checked off my bucket list, but I don't know about theirs.  We love fair week in this small town.

Redfish Lake

Shay's attempt to fish at Pettit Lake.  There are so many beautiful lakes around here! But not much for fishing if you don't have a boat or a canoe.  And now Matt has the bug to save for a canoe, and when he gets a bug to buy something, watch out.  He gets weird.
Redfish Lake.  Not even smoky at all by Fri, and the fire had started Monday.  Thank you fire fighters.
 Sawtooth view at Redfish.

Yankee Fork Gold Dredge & the ghost town Custer

These attractions were within an hour of camp.  I never knew they mined gold in Idaho as late as the 1950's. Ya learn something new every day!

Camp Sweet Camp

A creekside spot with a bridge and your own personal island?  Yes thank you!  The antelope and deer in this area were plentiful as well.  This campsite was down a road called Pole Creek Road, 20-30 mins away from Redfish Lake.

Stanley Sights

We kept our plans to camp near Stanley despite the fire that was being put out near Redfish Lake.  We're so glad we did, this is a beautiful place in the world.  My first time camping here as well as the kids.  The pictures above are not where we camped but are pictures of a hike we did which was near Stanley Lake.
